The Gambit (also referred to as the rattler, medicine man, and witch doctor) is a gifted hip-hop artist-producer hailing from arctic Finland. The Gambit's unique, individual 'jungle rattle' sound is testament to his savvy as one of Europe's finest hip-hop producers. The Gambit attracts both the praise and the ire of critics by approaching music in distinct ways. In the end, however, his merits surpass the subjective. The Gambit is a producer, rapper, MBA (Master of Business Administration) & LL.M. (Master of Laws) graduate, music business entrepreneur, and a father. This combination makes him a potent player within the music industry. The Gambit's debut album Rosary was prereleased on November 2007. YleX, the prime national radio station of Finland, chose Rosary as the album of the week. The album's first single, Snake Styles, introducing The Gambit's wild 'jungle rattle' debuted at NRJ and Music Television's prime time early 2008. In August 2008, Snake Styles was awarded in the Oulu Music Video Festival. Late 2008 The Gambit also signed a collaboration deal with Pepsi. Rosary was recorded, mixed and mastered in a platinum-awarded studio in the United States. Rosary features guest appearances by Psycho Les of The Beatnuts and opera singer Marika Krook among others. Except for Tempo Giusto's Hoo-ha! (Hood High), The Gambit produced the songs of the Rosary album. As a composer, The Gambit is strongly influenced by classical music. The Gambit's father played the piano for three decades, which serves as the cornerstone for his timeless style. He also plays the piano, and experimented with violin, drums, and even flute.
